from Hamburg over Kathmandu, Kalimpong, Rumtek, Nala, Delhi,
Chiangmai, Bangkok, Singapore, Swayambhu and Kyoto.
Pia and Peter Cerveny (Board of Karmapa´s Healthcare Project e.V) started the 20-Years-KHCP-Tour via Kathmandu to Kalimpong and Rumtek.
Today inter-stop in Kathmandu and circumambulating the Boudhanath stupa. Next day we travelled to Kalimpong.
#3 Oct 25, 2025: KHCP 20 Years Anniversary Party with film presentation at Shedra Kalimpong
Just on the 20th birthday of KHCP we arrived the Shedra in Kalimpong where we have been very welcomed by Khenpo Wangdu and Karma Tsundu. Together we enjoyed the lunch, talked about the "old times" and later we joint the Mahakala puja.
In the evening Pia and Peter present a film on the common story of the Shedra and KHCP.
Then the whole sangha surprised us with a huge birthday cake and gift us two thankas of Shamarpa with his reliques.

PiaPeter (KHCP) visit KCE Karmapa Education Center near Kalimpong. We are heartfelt welcomed by all.
We had nice meals and very open conversations with the kids and attend their classroom teaching with their excellent english.
Diane showed us the whole area with class rooms, library, art rooms, sport, gompa and the incredible garden with its own water source and the two related Naga houses.
Thanks for all and an extraordinary experience with such open and talented kids, yours Pia and Peter.
PiaPeter visited Karmapa´s nunnery in Rumtek. There we technically checked the building regarding the restauration project. The nuns hosted us very heartfelt and we both could rest a bit due to our heavily sickness. We gift one of our two Shamarpa-rollups (filled with his reliques), which we received as a gift by the Shedra-monks a day before in Kalimpong. Many thanks and see you back soon, Pia and Peter.
In our short time in Rumtek, we were able to accomplish quite much. We also visited the Karmapa´s/Shamarpa's site, Pal Karmae Sangha Rumtek – thank you for the insightful conversation.
We were able to gain a clearer understanding of what the KHCP is and what it is capable of achieving.
And we thank the three leaders for their openness to the Rumtek nunnery project and their willingness to get involved.
In Singapore, Nendo Rinpoche advised us to visit the important holy sites in Rumtek while we will be there.
So, after visiting our two Kagyud monasteries, we did the pilgrimage with Karma Tashi and Ani Karma.
We visited the most important sites from the time of the 16th Karmapa: we went outside Rumtek to the 16th Karmapa statue and the Milarepa site, we sat together in the old Mahakala room, and finally the old gompa with the throne of 16th Karmapa, upstairs a cora was allowed to walk around the usually closed "Golden Stupa" (relics of the 16th Karmapa).
Thank you for this refresher after 20 years being here. Back at that time , the KHCP were just founded and Karmapa sent us here with Lama Tsultrim Namgyal. This time again we stayed in his guesthouse and were lucky enough to meet him on our departure day. He recognized us and laughed in his typical way, "PiaPeter ya ya."
Many many thanks to Ani Tenzin la for the invitation and the hospitality and for her amazing job organizing this huge event with plenty thousands of devotees over 7 weeks.
Two days after the cremation of Sherab Gyaltsen Rinpoche we visited the stupa Swayambhu and its Maha Vihar. Then we went down to the Manang gumpa of Rinpoche and then took the grand cora around Swayambhu, which Sherab Gyaltsen Rinpoche often circumambulated - once together with us.
#10 Nov 03, 2025: Flight Kathmandu - Bangkok - Chiangmai
Here we met one of the present mayor teachers and we told him about our deep connection to the late Prof. Seng (co-founder of the University in the 50th), who passed away some years ago. He was the main initiator for inviting Sherab Gyaltsen Rinpoche to Chiangmai. That time Rinpoche gift a signed Milarepa thanka for the university and since it is hanging in the buddhist library of the campus.
We had a nice breakfast and talked about the buddhistic situation in Thailand and our just refreshed connection with the Buddhist University in Chiangmai.
We also attended the study course at KIBI with Karmapa, Khenpo Tsering, Khenpo Chöchok.
The Rinpoches, Khenpos, Lamas and monks of the KIBI honored the work of the KHCP with a nice group photo and a grand banner.
After Lama Ishey surprised Peter with some birthday gifts. And in the evening we celebrated Peter's birthday by taking dinner with Lama Ishey and some dharma friends. Thanks for this wonderful day and all the good wishes from everywhere.
Today KHCP enjoyed the friendship cake with the KIBI team.
Today we had a nice work meeting regarding Nunnery Restauration Project in Rumtek. Ani Tsultrim (Nunnery Rumtek), Rabjam (Secretary of Karmapa), Fabienne and PiaPeter exchanged the latest news about it. And Ani Tsultrim told us about the history of the nunnery and the relationship to the 16th Karmapa.
The first KHCP medical team members arrived Bodhgaya. Later we had a joint dinner, everyone introduced themselves and we fixed a schedule for the preparations - the 18th KHCP Kagyu Monlam medical camp.
And like every year Pia and Peter meet Beru Kyentse Rinpoche ("the landlord" of the whole Monlam) saying hello and exchange briefly all the facts how to manage this medical camp.
The 18th KHCP medical team is available at Nyingma Gompa for meeting TTM, physician, physio etc. during the Kagyud Monlam here in Bodhgaya. An emergency meeting point is at the Bodhi tree.
#24 Dec 17, 2025: Meetings with Jamgon Kongtrul Rinpoche and further directors
Pia and Peter handover a birthday gift to Jamgon Kongtrul Rinpoche and Rinpoche said : "I very appreciate what KHCP is doing."
Over the days here Pia and Peter had furthermore diverse work meetings with the boards of the Monasteries/Institutes
#25 Dec 18, 2025: Lunch with the pilgrimage group of Sherab Gyaltsen Rinpoche
Lodrö Rapsel Rinpoche, Ani Tenzin la and about 20 monks and nuns of Sherab Gyaltsen Rinpoche are doing the 30 day series of lama Rinpoche’s holy relics carried on (nekor) Pilgrimage.
Now here in Bodhgaya we invited the whole group and had a very nice lunch together. Thanks by PiaPeter
PS: Since 19 years Rinpoche´s monasteries/nunnery are part of KHCP Karmapa Healthcare Project
#26 Dec 20, 2025: KHCP team meets the Karmapa
The KHCP-team had an audience with Karmapa and we introduced our team for the 18th time.
Karmap said „… that is wonderful“ and then he held some nice words to us and thanked for our all dedication.

#34 Mar 05, 2026: Flight Chiangmai - Bangkok - Delhi
KHCP (Pia and Peter) attended the Mani Dungyur Puja in the Manang Gompa of Sherab Gyaltsen Rinpoche. They had KHCP work meetings with Dupseng Rinpoche, Chogyal Rinpoche (BIA), Nala monastery, Hasantar nunnery and finally a nice dinner with Ani Tenzin la (director of Sherab Gyaltsen Rinpoche).
Regarding a 20-years-long joint work with Rinpoche's places, the KHCP made the food offering for all practicener of the final Puja day - donated on behalf of all KHCP members/donors.

#37 Mar 23 2026: KHCP Film Evening with the sangha of the Diamondway Center in Hamburg.
We followed the invitation from our buddhist home center in Hamburg to a film evening (Kaminabend), where we showed films and photos and shared stories about the nearly 20 years of close collaboration of Sherab Gyaltsen Rinpoche and the KHCP.
We thank for this wonderful evening with the Sangha and are so grateful for the close connection our center has with Rinpoche.
And five months ago here we started our 20Y-Anniversary-Tour with a 20Y-KHCP-film evening and here in the same room we completed our very exiting tour.
Thanks to all the friends we met on the way and everyone who were involved to support us.
