His Holiness the 17th Gyalwa Karmapa Trinley Thaye Dorje led the aspiration prayers recited during the Kagyu Monlam, including the “King of Aspiration Prayers”, also known as “Samantabhadra’s Wishing Prayer”.
Thousands of Rinpoches, lamas, monks, nuns, and lay practitioners have gathered in Bodh Gaya again this year to participate in this most significant event for Karma Kagyu practitioners around the world.

For the 18th time this year, the KHCP - Karmapa´s Healthcare Project provided free medical checkups and healthcare for participants in this Kagyu Monlam as well as the local population.

This year the KHCP medical team consisted of a total of 23 people, all of them voluntary helpers: general practitioners, physiotherapists, TTM practitioners, nurses, assistants, organizers and helpers. About 1,300 patients were treated during the Monlam at following places:

Pick-up service at Mahabodhi Temple (Bodhi tree)
Two KHCP-clinic rooms at Nyingma Gompa Bodh Gaya
Info stall at Maha Bodhi Society Hall

After arrival Pia and Peter traditionally meet Beru Kyentse Rinpoche, Jamgon Kongtrul Rinpoche and the Kagyu Monlam committee to thank for their cooperation and support during the Monlam.
Furthermore both had meetings with the Rinpoches/directors of the diverse monasteries to chat about the health budgets and its application in 2026.

And of course we thank all donors of KHCP whose money we have used for buying all the medicine for this camp.
